Certiport Certification Exams

Palm Beach State College Testing and Certification Centers are authorized to administer the following Certiport certification exams. Visit the Certiport website for details on exam content, requirements and recommended candidates.

Important Information 

Certiport exams are administered at the Lake Worth Campus only.

Test Fees

Students need to pay two test fees: 

1. Register and pay for your certification exam on the Certiport website

2. Pay a $40 proctoring fee to PBSC via PBSC eMarket prior to your test appointment.

Appointments 

Please register for your certification exam on the Certiport website. You will receive a voucher which you should bring to the PBSC Testing Center on the day of your appointment. 

On the day of your test, you must bring the following to the PBSC Testing Center: your Certiport Test Voucher, the confirmation email for your test appointment, and one valid, government-issued photo ID with a signature — such as a driver’s license, state ID, military ID, or passport. All identification must be current and unexpired.

 


 

Pearson VUE Certification Exams

Palm Beach State College Testing and Certification Centers are authorized to administer Pearson VUE certification exams. Review the information below for your specific exam, and visit the Pearson VUE website for details on exam content, requirements and recommended candidates.

Accommodated testing must be preapproved by Pearson VUE. Each request for test accommodations is considered on a case-by-case basis. Accommodations cannot be added to a previously scheduled exam. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)

The ASE exam, offered by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, is a certification test that evaluates the expertise of automotive professionals. Earning ASE certification requires passing the exam and fulfilling work experience requirements, confirming a technician’s proficiency in specific areas of vehicle repair and maintenance.

Appointments and Test Fees

Step 1: Register and pay for the ASE exam on the ASE website or by phone with Prometric at 1-877-346-9327. You will receive an 11 digit ASE ID/Eligibility code.

Step 2: ASE exam testing are offered at both the Lake Worth and Boca Raton Testing Center locations. At the Lake Worth campus, exams are available on a walk-in basis Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. At the Boca Raton campus, exams are available by appointment only. (Use your generated PBSC Student ID number and the password to make an appointment.)

There are 3 types of appointments:

  • 1 hour appointment - for candidates taking an exam with a time limit of 1 hour or less
  • 2 hour appointment - for candidates taking an exam with a time limit greater than 1 hour
  • Advanced Exams - for candidates taking the L1, L2, L3, L1R or L2R exams

When scheduling a test appointment, enter your ASE ID/Eligibility code and test code in the field provided. One test per appointment time slot. Example: ASE-2345-7891  A6.

On the day of your test at the PBSC Testing Center, you must bring your ASE ID or Eligibility Code along with one valid, non-expired, government-issued photo ID that includes your signature, such as a driver’s license, military ID, state ID, or passport. PBSC PantherCards are not accepted as valid identification. However, an exception is made for high school or trade school IDs that do not include a signature, as long as they contain a photo.

Florida Certification Board (FCB)

The Florida Certification Board (FCB) exam is a series of standardized tests designed to certify professionals in health and human services fields across Florida. The FCB ensures candidates meet established standards for education, training, experience, and testing before granting certification. Areas of certification include addiction, mental health, child welfare and other related disciplines. To view the list of available exams, visit www.flcertificationboard.org.

Appointments and Test Fees

FCB Certification Exams are only administered at the Lake Worth Campus. Register and pay for the FCB exam on the FCB Test Registration website.  

Meazure Learning Exam (Proctored)

The Meazure Learning certification exams assess the knowledge and skills of employees for training purposes or they provide a pre-employment check for potential hires.

Appointments and Test Fees

Meazure Learning exams are administered on the Lake Worth and Boca Raton campuses. Location information will be provided when you schedule your appointment. You can schedule an appointment and pay the exam fee via the Meazure Learning website or by calling 919-572-6880.

When you arrive at the PBSC Testing Center on the day of the test, you will be required to provide your Meazure Learning admission ticket or confirmation letter. The first and last name on the admission ticket must match exactly with the first and last name on the acceptable, non-expired identification - driver's license, military ID card, state ID card, passport, etc.

Prov County Contractor Licensing Exams

The Prov County Contractor Licensing Exams are a series of tests required for contractor licensing in various counties and municipalities across Florida. These exams evaluate a contractor's knowledge of construction principles, practices, laws, and regulations. Successfully passing them is a key step in obtaining a license to operate in specific Florida jurisdictions.

All exams are timed and open book. When you apply, you will receive detailed information about each test required for licensure, including test content and recommended study materials.

Appointments and Test Fees

To be eligible for testing, you must first contact the appropriate Palm Beach County board to receive approval for testing. Once approved, contact PROV toll-free at 866-720-7768 or visit the Prov website to schedule a test appointment and pay for fees. Candidates should be prepared to provide their name, candidate ID and zip code.

Cancel/Reschedule/Retest Policy

Failed examinations can be retaken according to local licensing jurisdiction rules. Candidates cannot retake an exam once they have passed that exam unless required by their jurisdiction. Before rescheduling another exam attempt, candidates must be reapproved by the licensing jurisdiction.

If candidates need to change or cancel their testing appointment, they must contact Prov at least five business days prior to their scheduled date. Changes will be made at no cost if candidates notify Prov by the deadline. If candidates fail to appear for their test or fail to cancel or reschedule their testing session by the close of business five days prior to their scheduled test date, they will forfeit their exam fees and should contact their licensing board for further instructions.
