Key Changes for 2026-2027

The Office of Financial Aid is monitoring changes related to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and is waiting for additional guidance from the U.S. Department of Education. Most financial aid changes will take effect on July 1, 2026.

These updates primarily affect federal student loans, including new borrowing limits. The changes are designed to help students borrow only what they need based on their enrollment, reducing the risk of taking on more debt than necessary.

For the latest information and updates, visit our One Big Beautiful Bill Act Updates page.
