Step into the world of cinema and music with Palm Beach State College's Associate in Science (A.S.) in Motion Picture Production Technology. This degree engages students in hands-on training with professionals, using the latest technology in film, animation and sound production. 

Course content explores various areas of the entertainment industry, from directing and screenwriting to cinematography and studio recording. You'll have the opportunity to gain real-world experience through student projects and internships working with the local film industry. 

Students choose to specialize in three concentration areas: 

  • Digital Animation (Code: AS 2282D): Learn modeling, simulation, visual effects, rendering, storyboarding and compositing animation skills using leading industry software.
  • Production (Code: AS 2282M): Develop marketable skills across multiple disciplines in film production as you work on student production crews, such as editing, directing, sound design and more. 
  • Recording Arts (Code: AS 2282R): Build knowledge of the recording discipline to assist in recording performances and shape the soundscape of various arts.

  • Location: On-site at Lake Worth campus
  • Credits: 64
  • Program length: Two years (full-time)
