Program Overview
Discover the art of healing through Palm Beach State College's Massage Therapy Career Certificate Program (CCP). This program blends expert instruction with hands-on lab practice to help you garner the skills to become a licensed massage therapist.
Curriculum dives into essential coursework that covers the science of the human body, from anatomy and physiology to myology and pathology. Get practical experience in our therapeutic training and hydrotherapy labs where you'll explore different massage methods, including Swedish massages, hydrotherapy and hot stone massages. You'll also learn imperative professional standards of the massage industry.
Students can translate their knowledge into real-world experiences with our modern massage clinic, where they'll practice on clients and other fellow students. As you learn proven therapeutic techniques, you'll prepare to earn your professional licensure.

Stackable Credentials
After completing the Massage Therapy Career Certificate Program, you can:
- Take the the Massage Boards Licensing Examination (MBLEX), administered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards.
- Upon passing the exam, you're eligible to apply for the Florida State Massage Therapy license, which is necessary to practice massage and bodywork therapies in Florida.
- Earn other PBSC certificates in spa-related fields, such as the Facials Speciality CCP.

How to Apply
- Step 1: Attend a program information session or make an appointment with the program director.
- Step 2: Select Program Code 5232 for the Massage Therapy CCP when you fill out PBSC's application on the Admissions webpage.
- Step 3: Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) exam if not exempt from TABE testing.
- Step 4: Submit a controlled access program application for the Massage Therapy program.
