Program Overview

Prepare for a high-demand health care career by earning an Associate in Science degree in Dental Hygiene at Palm Beach State College’s brand-new dental education facility at the Loxahatchee Groves campus. Opened in 2025, this cutting-edge learning environment features a clinic and X-ray suite, 3D imaging tools, simulation labs, interactive classrooms and 3D printing technology that broadens innovation in dental practice.

In this program accredited by the American Dental Association, students get access to expert instructors, hands-on clinical experience and community service opportunities such as participating in the annual Give Kids a Smile Day event. You’ll graduate ready to make a meaningful impact in preventive patient care and enjoy a rewarding path in the dental hygiene profession.

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher 
    • Completion of prerequisite courses in natural science with grade C or higher
  • Location: In person at Loxahatchee Groves. Some online courses available. 
  • Credits: 88
  • Program Length: 21 months (full-time)
  • Start Term: Fall 
  • Cost (including books, uniform, instruments, tuition, etc.):  
    • In-State: Approximately $7,000 for first year, approximately $6,500 for second year
    • Out-of-State: Approximately $15,000 for first year, approximately $12,000 for second year
