A.A. Florida Guarantee: Students who earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree at PBSC are guaranteed admission to a public Florida university.

Students transferring with an A.S. degree typically DO NOT automatically meet the general education course requirements at other institutions. A.S. applicants will have credits evaluated as part of their admission process on a course-by-course basis.
A.S. students may consider transferring to a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science program instead of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science program, which may allow for an easier credit transfer.

No. Financial aid does not transfer from PBSC to another institution. Each college or university must review your eligibility separately. Your new school may have different deadlines or required forms, and their financial aid packages may differ based on tuition, cost of attendance or available funding. Check with the financial aid office at your new institution to avoid delays in receiving aid.
If you continue your education in a PBSC bachelor's program, you would continue to file your FAFSA each year and follow PBSC's financial aid process.

Yes. To receive financial aid at your new school, you must update your FAFSA and add the new college or university to your application.
If you are transferring mid-year, you may not need to complete a brand new FAFSA. However, your existing FAFSA must be sent to the new school. FAFSA covers the entire aid year, fall through summer semesters.
No. Students cannot receive federal financial aid at multiple institutions simultaneously. If you are no longer attending PBSC, you may request to cancel your financial aid at PBSC before receiving aid elsewhere.
Each school reviews Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) independently. Your completion rate and program GPA do not transfer to the new institution. A SAP failure at PBSC does not automatically mean you would fail SAP at your new school.
Federal limits follow students from school to school, so your maximum timeframe for using financial aid may be impacted.
