Launch your career in one of Florida's most essential trades with Palm Beach State College's Plumbing Career Certificate Program (CCP). Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training, students prepare for success in residential and commercial plumbing work.

Develop pipe trade industry knowledge and technical skills through competency-based applied learning. You'll learn from experienced professionals as you master installation and pipe cutting. You'll also learn how to interpret construction documents and understand building codes. 

This program is supported by the PBSC4C Grant Program from the U.S. Department of Labor Strengthening Community Colleges (SCC) Round 4 grant services, enhancing academic and professional success through skills training, industry partnerships and career success coaches. With a strong focus on practical experience and job readiness, you'll hone the expertise to keep communities running smoothly as a skilled plumbing technician. 

Program Details

  • Admission requirements: None. To receive financial aid, a high school diploma or GED may be required. 
  • Location: On-site at Lake Worth and Palm Beach Gardens campuses
  • Clock hours: 1,080
  • Program Length: 40-week daytime program or 54-week evening program
  • Cost: About $4,000 for Florida residents, including tuition, fees, books and uniform shirt. View tuition details.

How to Apply

  • Step 1: Attend a mandatory program information session. Email the program contact below for information about upcoming sessions. 
  • Step 2: After attending an information session, select Program Code 5628 for the Plumbing CCP when you fill out PBSC's application on the Admissions webpage.
  • Step 3: Meet with a Trade and Industry advisor.
  • Step 4: Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) exam if not exempt from TABE testing.
