Program Overview
Palm Beach State College's Landscape and Horticulture Specialist College Credit Certificate (CCC) cultivates the skills to design lush landscapes and implement sustainability in communities. Through hands-on training in the College's greenhouse, shadehouse and gardens, you'll learn marketable skills that make Florida's environment flourish.
In just one semester, you'll be introduced to the art and science of landscaping, such as design, irrigation systems and prevalent plants in South Florida's landscapes. You'll also hone basic business principles to succeed with established lawn maintenance firms, tree care enterprises and other environmental organizations.
This certificate serves as an introduction to key horticulture concepts and prepares you for advanced certifications. You can continue into further education with PBSC's Associate in Science in Landscape and Horticulture Management.
