Program Overview
The Hazardous Materials Specialist College Credit Certificate (CCC) program at Palm Beach State College helps students build the skills to safely analyze, handle, store and dispense hazardous materials while following all the required federal, state, and local laws and regulations for proper chemical management.
Graduates of the certificate program are prepared to: research local, state and federal regulations and implement methods and strategies to ensure compliance; maintain records as required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Transportation; develop and implement hazardous materials handling procedures; plan for emergency response of hazardous materials incidents; and protect workers and communities from hazardous material exposures.
