Program Overview
The Electrical Power Technology program at Palm Beach State College focuses on instrumentation and control — the technology used across industries to keep machines running safely and correctly — and the essential role of technicians and engineering assistants in the design, setup, testing, operations and maintenance of these systems.
This Associate in Science degree will prepare you to launch a wide range of dynamic careers with excellent growth potential — from maintaining power plants, utilities and advanced manufacturing processes to operating power plants and renewable power generation. Our graduates also go into careers testing rocket engines, jet engines and helicopters or designing power grids, manufacturing production lines, submarines and other complex systems.
