Program Overview
The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Career Certificate Program (CCP) at Palm Beach State College prepares students for employment or advanced training in today’s machining industry. This hands-on program begins with the fundamentals of machining, allowing students to build a strong foundation before quickly progressing to advanced, computer-operated CNC equipment.
Students will gain practical experience in topics such as workplace safety and organization, job-related mathematics, blueprint reading, metrology, primary and secondary manufacturing processes and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. The program also covers CNC control panels, CNC machine systems, CNC lathe and mill operations as well as basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Program Length: Daytime program 22 weeks/ Evening program 32 weeks

- Step 3: Meet with a Trade and Industry advisor.
- Step 4: Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) exam if not exempt from TABE testing.
