The Automotive Service Technician Career Certificate Program (CCP) at Palm Beach State College prepares students for all aspects of the automotive field by providing hands-on, real-world training in PBSC's large, professionally equipped auto repair shop, featuring vehicle lifts and a wide range of makes and models. Students learn from master technicians, build hands-on proficiency using the latest diagnostic technologies and develop the critical thinking abilities needed to troubleshoot a wide range of service issues. In the process, students earn job-qualifying certifications from ASE, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, which is the industry’s leading certifier of automotive and diesel professionals.

- Step 2: After you attend an information session, you may apply to the program by selecting Program Code 5463 for the Automotive Repair Technician CCP when you fill out PBSC's application on the Admissions webpage.
- Step 3: Meet with a Trade and Industry advisor online or in person.
- Step 4: Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) exam if not exempt from TABE testing.
- Step 5: Make an appointment with the Program Director as the final step.
