Title: Admission of Students - Certificate Programs

1. The College shall admit for Certificate Programs applicants who have determined an occupational objective that can be addressed by enrollment in an appropriate job preparatory program or who have already entered employment in the occupational area.

2. For Certificate Programs which specify a requirement of high school completion, the College shall admit applicants who hold a standard U.S. high school diploma, a U.S. GED diploma or the equivalent of a standard U.S. high school diploma based upon successful completion of an upper-secondary school program outside the United States which includes the achievement of the minimum scores on required placement exams, or a signed affidavit submitted by a home educated student's parent or legal guardian attesting that the student has completed a home education program pursuant to the requirements of 1002.41 FS.

3. For Certificate Programs which do not specify a requirement of a high school diploma, the College shall admit applicants who hold a certificate of completion, a special diploma or, if no longer in a regular high school program, are eighteen years of age or older.

4. For Certificate Programs over 180 clock hours in length, completion of the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) is required.
