Jon Harrison

Jon Harrison is chair of the District Board of Trustees of Palm Beach State College. He was appointed by the Governor of Florida and confirmed by the Florida Senate to a three-year term ending May 31, 2027. He was elected chair on August 20, 2024.

Harrison is the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of the Navy. Prior to his current Federal appointment, he was a principal shareholder and member of the board of directors of Albers Aerospace, an aviation and defense engineering group. He previously served as the 8th Chairman of the U.S. Arctic Research Commission, and in the U.S. Department of State.

Harrison received his B.S. from the University of Southampton. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Florida Atlantic University.
