Title: Employment and Evaluation of the President

1. The District Board of Trustees (hereinafter “DBOT”) shall appoint and provide the President with an employment contract in accordance with applicable law and the rules of the State Board of Education.
2. The DBOT will review and evaluate the President’s performance annually on the progress made toward meeting the goals and objectives of the college’s accountability plan, pursuant to Florida Statute 1008.45. Additionally, the evaluation shall address the President’s achievement of the institutional performance goals established and approved by the DBOT.
3. An evaluation instrument will be completed privately and independently by each Trustee prior to the annual evaluation of the President. The instrument will serve as a guideline to ensure a comprehensive performance review. All of the Trustees’ evaluation instruments will be consolidated into one comprehensive performance evaluation to be reviewed and approved by the DBOT.
4. After the DBOT has approved the President’s comprehensive performance evaluation,
it will be submitted to the Chancellor of the State Board of Education.
